Sweet Girly

Not a lot going on at the moment. Somehow I went from having an itty bitty baby in my uterus to an 11 inch long baby! She can kick me in two very separate places now! It's crazy how quick it happened! I am glad she is growing and active!! :) She is very active, and I try to "play" with her when she kicks and punches me. We are still working on a name, but there is so much going on, and it's very hard to agree. I have two that I really love since my original list was demolished! Hopefully I can talk Jeff into Vivian or Sylvia. :) I'll let you know!

It's a GIRL!

Well, yesterday we found out you are a GIRL! Looks like I was leaning in the right direction! Stella is really excited to be having a sister and I am excited for both of you. I didn't have a sister but I think it will be great! Everything looked healthy on the ultrasound. We got to see your brain, your heart beating, your kidneys, all kinds of stuff. You were squirming around a lot in there too! You kept your arms and hands up by your face most of the time, but there was a clear shot of your girlie parts! I could tell before the tech even said anything. We had a reveal for Stella to tell her if you were a girl or boy. We had a big box, on the front it said He or She Open to See. Then I stuffed a bunch of pink balloons inside, and Stella got to open it. The majority of the time she has been saying she wanted it to be a girl. We are really excited and glad everything 

was healthy!

Girl or Boy?

I cannot believe it is Friday and our ultrasound is only 3 days away! Not to mention we have a really busy weekend, so I am sure it will fly by! I just wanted to write out some feelings on gender since I did it for Stella’s blog. I really am not set on a girl or boy feeling. I haven’t had any dreams this time, like last time. I have been praying that I have a dream so I could know!! It seems like it has been easier to choose boy names, and I see a lot of names come up at work that are on my boy list. But I have also been seeing Aurora a lot, which is one of the names Jeff liked for a girl last time. This morning though, I woke up with a song in my head, Destiny’s Child song titled Girl. Haha, it just says Girl duh duh duh duh, Girl…. So, I was SURE that was a sign. Then at work I pulled up an account and the contact was Everett Pierce. Which are both names on my boy list. I have been having the mass amount of acne again, but that could just be hormones. And the Chinese Gender Chart says girl. So, only a few more days till we (hopefully) know for sure. Just praying it’s healthy! 

Dancing Jellybean!

So many exciting things are going on these days!! We are house hunting and soon to be packing! I have been feeling baby movements for 2 weeks now. That would mean it started at 17 weeks, a lot earlier than with Stella. Today the jabs and movements are tripled! Plus, the countdown to the big ultrasound has begun! Only 6 days left and I am really excited! I am starting to get anxiety because I want it to be healthy most of all. Everybody focuses on the gender aspect and doesn't really think about the rest. But I am so nervous and excited to know if it’s a boy or girl. I am also excited for the reveal! I hope Stella enjoys it and is excited about the gender. She started out saying she wanted a boy but now she has been saying girl for a while. Either way we are really happy about our blessing!

I have also gained about 6 pounds now. I think I gained my first two around 15 or 16 weeks and then my other 4 in the last week and a half. Yikes! 

Names I

It has been neat to go back and look at my list of names I liked for Stella. A lot can change in 3 years since I don’t really like any of them now. Plus, already having a child with a name is having an influence on it. So, first I am going to put the list I found of girl names I liked in 2009. Then I will put only my list of girl & boy names, since we don’t know the gender yet. Looking back now, I am surprised that some of them are still on my list today!

I have heard every one say you never have enough time to do everything you did with your first child/pregnancy. I knew it would be harder, but I was sure I would be able to do some of the things I wanted to do. So far, it’s a no. Much to my dismay! I was hoping to have posts for this baby just like I did with Stella. I am going to do it to the best of my ability. Today I am going to go back and write posts for the milestones I have had so far. Time does go by a lot faster with a two year old AND trying to sell your house. I’m in the 15^th week and anxiously awaiting a look at our healthy baby on October 29^th.

2nd Ultrasound

I kept trying to use my Doppler to find your heartbeat but was having NO luck! I should have been around 9 weeks or so and finally I called Dr. Archer’s office and made an appointment just for an ultrasound. That would have been on 8/13 and my appointment was at 8 on 8/16. I was so nervous that something would be wrong. But everything was perfectly great, the little baby was dancing around in there and it was SO cute. I wish I had a video of it because it was awesome.

Guess What!

On July 31^st Stella and I told Mom & Dad with Stella’s shirt. When I took her to their house that morning she wore her Only Child Big Sister shirt. It didn’t take Dad very long to notice, but it took Mom a few minutes. Dad didn’t say anything, and Mom said “Are you expecting!?” They were both really excited, Mom jumped up and hugged me.

Then on August 1^st it was Linda’s birthday. So, I had a picture made up of Jeff, Stella and I in Florida. It said,

It took her a second, but she caught on pretty quick. She was very excited and so was Paul.

We didn’t make the facebook announcement until August 16^th, but it was still rather early. We announced that with this photo:

Surprise!

Technically this is not a surprise for us, we have been hoping for a pregnancy for quite a while now! But since there was no way to track anything it was out of the blue. I usually take a test once every week or two just to be sure I'm not pregnant since there is no other way to be sure. It is Friday night, probably around 7:30 pm and I was home, Stella was asleep. I took a cheapie test first. When I looked for the results I could swear I saw a faint line. So, I got a little excited and got out a good test and tried that one around 10 pm. It turned pink so fast and I was blown away. Jeff got home later and I was in bed, so I said I have something to tell you. I said, "I'm pregnant!" and he was really excited and said, "Yes!" I seem to remember he gave me a thumbs up, but not sure. Overall it was amazing news and we couldn't be more excited.
